India Australia Friendship Fair

The India Australia Fair was ab absolute success! I want to congratulate all the girls that turned up that day, as it created a lot of talk all around the place about Dream Girl 2010... and I ended my night with way too many SMS's about the girls and who they were :) So good work guys... Your first ever event (kind of) and you were pretty good!


Moments ...
I think the best part was when all the girls got together in the middle of the grounds for photo's..... but kept getting distracted with people walking in and out of the pictures... causing Vayshali to throw her hands in the air and absolutely miss the shot being taken!

When Jyoti and Soniya decided to go out and *look* for a guy who would sell tickets for them! Smart business strategies girls... I'm impressed. That's called creating a chain :)

When Nutan and all the girls went and barged in on the Bhangra going on with the Boys on the ground... Unfortunately I missed that, but I surely saw pictures of it!!

Being Interviewed by TVS... for Chandana and Oz Indian both - a big thanks to them for showing so much support for Dream Girl 2010.

The thunder storm that soaked *all* our posters and destroyed almost all the stalls! Thankfully that was just a small passing weather mishap.... I'm not sure what would have happened if the rain had come to stay. I bet all my girls would look a lot different to what they did when they walked in!! Such as their hair.... for starters ;)

Apparently after the 15th, people around have already started picking favorites among themselves ;) though I'm obviously not going to discuss that, I sure can tell that your all in a looooot of demand.

I'm really hoping *all* of you will be there for all the forth coming events... I look forward to seeing you guys on 26th August. at 12:00 NOON, Crows Nest for "The First Look" - Media Launch of Dream Girl 2010.

About Dream Girl 2010

Dream Girl 2010 is brought to you by the Pratibimb (Indian Cultural Community Australia Inc). Indian Cultural Community is a Non Profit organization that helps and supports cultural and multi cultural events to showcase diverse local and national talents. It is established to help discover, and promote different cultures around Australia.  

What is it that makes some girls stand out from the others? Other than her looks, her intelligence, her persona, intellectuality, talent, and of course, her ability to speak her heart and mind out (well, not necessarily in the same order).  

Dream Girl 2010 is designed to showcase all this and much more! This pageant is exclusively to promote and showcase talents of today’s modern girls in Australia, who are well aware of their culture as well as their present surroundings. It will embrace the Australian culture, as well as other cultures involved to show the best of both the worlds. We’re looking for someone diverse, refined and creative. She has to have a vision; she has to be out of this world, and of course, she has to be dreamy… 

This event is one of a kind! Not only is it a beauty pageant, but it also explores various cultures around the country. Our participants won’t just be picked on the basis of their looks, but also their personality and confidence. They will under go professional grooming sessions and attract a lot of publicity at different events and shows before the final event on 23^rd October. There will be sub pageants for several of the participants who will be presented with gift vouchers, clothes, electronics, gadgets and even domestic/international return tickets! Our final winner, theDream Girl 2010 will get the chance of a life time to visit Bollywood and meet the biggest stars and watch them shoot (all expenses paid), and that’s not all, we’ll also be giving her the opportunity to star as a lead in an upcoming Bollywood movie!
